California authorities arrested a mother on Monday for allegedly allowing two men to molest her three young children
Butte County Sheriff’s statement states that investigators have found evidence that 33-year-old Summer Carver was present on many occasions when 38-year-old David Akuff mocked three of her five children. Investigators reportedly found that Carver was also there in at least one case where a second suspect, Joshua Chadwick, a registered physical offender, was mocking one of her children.
Officers discovered several pieces of evidence against the mother
Butte County police said their investigation began in July, after receiving information that 39-year-old Chadwick could have acted improperly against the children. Local and federal probation services ransacked Chadwick’s home on July 8 and reportedly recovered an electronic device containing child-adult movies.
“The investigation revealed that Chadwick detectives recently communicated with three children who were no older than 10 years old. Investigators found evidence that Chadwick had physically abused children for a long period of time, “says the statement.
Authorities also reported that Acuff, one of Chadwick’s partners, molested the same three children. Butte County police contacted the Oroville police department, which said they had conducted an open investigation with Acuff. On July 8, police ransacked Akuff’s home and found evidence that he had abused children for a long period of time.
The police statement did not reveal Carver’s relationship with Akuff and Chadwick.
Charges for the crime:
Carver was accused of making the child available to allow obscene and indecent acts against the child, threats to the child, indecent and indecent acts against the child, and child abuse. His bail has been set at $ 825,000.
Chadwick, who remains in prison without bail, has been charged with indecent and depraved acts with children and violating the conditions of his federal probation period.
Acuff has been charged with oral complicity or physical penetration of a child, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Carver’s five children are reportedly in the custody of Butte County Children’s Services.
