Hannibal, the show based on a serial killer named Hannibal Lecter. Another one of the shows from the FBI’s behavioral units. Well, with its gruesome imagery, the show was too much to handle for the traditional TV viewers and thus, was canceled after three seasons on NBS. Well now, it is available to stream on Netflix. Perhaps we could get more seasons of the show now that it is on Netflix.
Well, it hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, chances are that the show gets a fourth season on Netflix. Comprising of the content that is said to be a little hard to handle, the show has now found the right kind of audience. Netflix is a more broad platform where people like to see stuff that’s out of the box. I short, they can handle some hard imagery. Hence the show seems to have a future of several seasons on Netflix.
Moreover, while announcing the show’s release on Netflix Mikkelsen also hinted towards a possible fourth season. Here’s the tweet.

So could it mean that Hannibal is returning for the fourth season? Well, I cannot confirm that yet but it sure seems like it.
Well, first of all, the fourth season will only be made if Hannibal receives enough views on its previous season on the platform. Even if it is not a hit, it is surely expected to get a little recognition. Assuming that it gets renewed, we still cannot expect it to make it to the screens until late 2021.
Several projects already on hold by Netflix, it sure wouldn’t take up a new project right now. One the production of the shows begin and it is back on track, we can expect it to release by 2022.
