Chelsea head to South Yorkshire on Saturday, looking to maintain their grip on third place in the Premier League table.

Despite a nervy second half, Frank Lampard’s side ran out 3-2 winners at Crystal Palace on Tuesday, a result that propelled them above Leicester in the table.

They now visit a Sheffield United site who are coming off the back of a last-gasp win at home to Wolves on Wednesday evening.

Victory is crucial in the three-way scrap for a top-four finish, with the Blues, Leicester and Manchester United all vying to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The reverse fixture in August saw Chris Wilder’s Blades come away from Stamford Bridge with a point thanks to a 2-2 draw.

Sheff Utd 11/2

Chelsea 4/7

One solitary Hammer blow apart Chelsea have been enormously impressive post lockdown and justify odds on billing with thepools.com.

But both sides love to rack up the corners.

Chelsea’s matches have averaged 12.2 per game since returning, with Chelsea winning the majority of them in every game, while Sheffield United matches have averaged 11 with The Blades earning the most corners in four out of five.

So over 1.5 goals and 9 or more corners is a steal at 17/20 with thepools.com and Chelsea to win the match, over 1.5 goals and 10 or more corners even better at 11/5.
